China Aviation Industry General Aircraft Co. (CAIGA), a subsidiary of the Chinese state-owned aviation conglomerate AVIC (Aviation Industry Corporation of China), showcased a mockup of an eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) cabin design at the September 2021 Zhuhai airshow. After formation in 2009, the company went on to purchase Epic Aircraft in 2010 and Cirrus Aircraft in 2011. Between three branches of operation, the company has developed three aircraft to the design stage, two to flight testing, and six to production. Little is known about the design details of the aircraft at the time of this article’s creation.
